Deck & Fence Staining

Restore, Protect & Beautify Your Outdoor Wood Surfaces

Ontario freeze-thaw cycles, UV exposure, and rainfall are hard on exterior wood. We assess the existing coating and wood condition before recommending preparation and a compatible transparent, semi-transparent, or solid stain.

Why Paintina

Protect Your Investment — Ontario Winters Don't Forgive Untreated Wood

Toronto-area wood is exposed to sun, rain, snow, and freeze-thaw cycles. Before recommending a stain, we assess wood condition, existing coatings, exposure, and whether cleaning, stripping, sanding, or drying time is required.

Moisture-Aware Product Selection

Penetrating and film-forming products behave differently. The recommendation depends on the wood, existing finish, and exposure.

UV & Weather Exposure

Pigment generally improves UV protection, while transparency shows more grain. We explain the appearance and maintenance trade-offs.

shield

Mould & Mildew Resistance

Anti-microbial additives resist mould and mildew growth — critical for the damp Ontario climate.

eco

Eco-Safe Product Options

We offer water-based, low-VOC staining products that are safe for children, pets, and surrounding vegetation.

schedule

Weather-Aware Scheduling

Preparation, drying, application, and cure time depend on wood condition, moisture, temperature, forecast, and product requirements.

How It Works

Our Deck & Fence Staining Process

01

Assessment & Wood Test

We assess wood condition, check for rot, test moisture content, and recommend the right stain type and colour for your surfaces.

02

Power Wash & Brighten

High-pressure washing removes dirt, algae, and old stain. A wood brightener is applied to open wood pores for maximum penetration.

03

Sanding & Repair Review

Rough or failed areas may need sanding. Rotten or structurally damaged boards are identified so repair responsibility can be agreed before coating.

04

Stain Application

Application method and coat count follow the selected product, surface condition, weather window, and manufacturer instructions.
